Meet Thomas Arnold, D.D.S.
A descendant of three generations of health professionals (his grandfather was one of the first African American dentists in the South), Dr. Thomas Arnold never considered any other occupation. He grew up “hanging around the dental office,” watching his grandfather work while discussing community politics.

Meet Sylvia Balbarez, D.D.S.
Dr. Sylvia Balbarez has taken a special training in periodontal disease and has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years.
Meet Puja Mistry, D.D.S.
Dr. Mistry was born and raised in Southern California and recently moved to Berkeley, CA. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Biology in 2006, she moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During her time on the East coast, she had an opportunity to live in Bangor, Maine and worked as a student dentist at the Penobscot Community Health Center treating an underserved population of adults and children.
While at Tufts, she was a member the admissions committee and played an active role interacting with and interviewing prospective dental students. After graduating from Tufts with a D.M.D. in 2011, she returned to the west coast to pursue a two year general practice residency at the Sepulveda V.A. Dental Clinic in Los Angeles. After her residency, she remained with the V.A. as a staff dentist working with the per diem homeless veterans program in addition to working in private practice.
These experiences have helped mold her philosophy and she believes that compassion, ethics and dental education are the key to patient care.
